Jānis LūsēnsPUSS IN BOOTS
Large hall
A musical performance for childrenDramaturgy and libretto – Patrīcija M. Keiša, Aleksandrs Barons
Premiere - 20th March, 2026
Duration -
One cosy evening, a company of friends gathers. Reason to celebrate? The cat’s birthday! And what better way to celebrate the dashing little fluffball than by telling a fairy tale with the cat as the main character?
This will be a story not only about the love of cats, bravery, and the famous Puss in Boots, but also about an activity that nowadays seems almost endangered – singing, playing, and creating freely together. How do you conjure up something out of nothing? How do you tell a fairy tale together? Who even remembers how it went? Once upon a time there lived… A father… No, a mother. Three brothers. No, no – a cat! And you’ll be the princess, and you – the youngest son, and you – the monster, and you’ll be the king! Put your boots on, and off we go!
